Much Ado About Something

We are experiencing a major flap at Brewster Baptist Church,
having to do with the times of Sunday Services. They are now
8:30 and 11:00, thus giving time for hour long classes in between
services. Some influential seniors want the late service to begin
at 10:30. Why, I don't understand.

The purpose of the original change was to give the Dean of
Adult Education the opportunity to create new classes.
It has succeeded admirably, but unfortunately, the persons
most vocal do not attend them. Going back to the earlier
hour would effectively cancel the program.

Email is raging furiously from those who enjoy and are edified
by the Sunday classes. It has become a major issue. Some
of the people who want an earlier time are heavy hitters, if
you know what I mean. That is always a factor in churches
like ours.

Meanwhile, I am trying to crank up "Planning Growth
Strategy at BBC" which you will see outlined in the next
posting. I have already identified Sunday Adult Education
classes as a "unique and innovative competitive strength"
of Brewster Baptist Church. The trouble is that we only
advertise special events, so no one outside the church
knows about it.
