"Jesus of Nazareth is one of the most intriguing, interesting, and
compelling persons in history. No individual has created more
devotion or worship, inspired more art and music, or had a
greater influence on human history over the last 2,000 years.
Whether we worship Jesus as God in human form or if we have
never given Jesus a significant look, there is much to be gained
by learning more about "Who is Jesus?".
At Brewster Baptist Church, we are goingto be devoting seven
weeks in April and May to examining that question, "Who Is
Jesus?" by looking at what Jesus says about himself in the
Gospel of John. Jesus uses a number of powerful images to
describe himself and what he offers to people - he is Bread that
sustains us, the Light that illuminates our darkness, the Gate
that leads to a supportive community, the Good Shepherd who
guides our steps and protects us, our hope in the face of the
power and grief of death, the Way that leads to life in all its
fullness, and the Vine from whom we draw our vitality and
purpose."

by guided discussion in small home groups. Participants
may specify whether they wish to attend; the days best
for them on Monday through Friday; and their choices for
morning, afternoon, or evening. Hosts and small group
facilitators are especially needed. Sign up to be hosts and
facilitators on Feb. 24. Sign up March 2 to March 16 to
participate; invite friends and neighbors who might be
interested."
