Winter Quarter

The Adult Education program for Winter 2008 at Brewster
Baptist Church is off to a smashing start! 44 people
attended the Panel Discussion last Saturday, in which the
Senior Pastor, Youth Minister, and Senior Warden answered
questions from the participants on every imaginable area of
Christianity.

After the 11:00 service, my Spiritual Advisor, who attended
with me, asked the Senior Pastor if any record of the session
was made. He said that they were considering release of a
video, or at least an audio. Stay tuned for news of its
availability.

As expected, the sessions on Tuesday evening, led by the
Senior Pastor, were popular, attracting 74 persons last
week. The subject is "Getting More Out of Your Bible."
It was really a rapid fire tutorial on how to study the bible.
One could never read a passage any more without
remembering some of his key points

Your blogger was pleased to have contributed some
worthwhile efforts to promote the Adult Education
program. I told the Dean in an email that I was now
willing to become a member of BBC, having fulfilled
item 3 of the covenant of membership, i.e., to "use my
spiritual gifts, time, and talents to participate in some form
of ministry or service."

Earlier, she asked me to write an "interview" about the
orientation session that the Senior Pastor held in September,
2007. As it happens, that was one of my blog postings.
With a little editing, it will run in The Beacon, which is
the monthly newsletter of BBC.
